Talk:Forrest Griffin vs. Stephan Bonnar

Latest comment: 8 years ago by Cyberbot II in topic External links modified

not too sure about how to use wikipedia, so maybe another more experienced user can fix this for me. My issue is with the last line in the first paragraph of the article, 'The fight was credited by Dana White as the "most important fight in UFC history"[2] and the fight that brought the UFC into the mainstream.' particularly the piece after the [2]. Is this an opinion of the writer of the article, or is it the opinion of the footnoted article? If it is the former, it should be removed. If it is the ladder, shouldn't the footnote be moved to the end of the sentence? Aj10101 (talk) 20:51, 12 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

The article says "Immediately after this match, Spike TV signed UFC to a long-term deal. A week later Couture and Liddell set the company record with 280,000 buys on pay-per-view. The UFC’s growth was about to skyrocket.". It's definetly one of the factors, but to say it was "the fight that brought the UFC into the mainstream" is a little far fetched so I'll remove it. --aktsu (t / c) 16:25, 13 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
