Where is this "Florentine calendar" attested? How would a specifically Florentine calendar have come to be? --Wetman 07:57, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

I rather agree - the liturgical start of the day was always with Vespers in the evening, and the start of the year was a typical one, as the article says. Better to expand to make a useful Medieval dating systems or something. Johnbod 21:57, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

Actually, looking around in Category:Calendars, which is rather a mess, with the "specific" and "obselete" categories needing a merge in my view, we could do with a simple overview article linking to the many very specific and detailed ones. Johnbod 13:20, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

Well I have a calculator, but it's people like us who need an article pulling in the simple information from the many articles out there, which tend to give difficulties in seeing the wood from the trees. Johnbod 01:56, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
