Fliegerschule Wasserkuppe edit

The following should be deleted as it looks like advertising to me:

The oldest civil flight school still active in the world is based in Germany at the Wasserkuppe. It was founded as "Mertens Fliegerschule". It's current name is "Fliegerschule Wasserkuppe"[2] —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.174.245.207 (talk) 06:20, 1 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

I think it is relevant, other articles mention the earliest or first, such as the first airplane to fly, etc. And this is well sourced, as well. - Ahunt (talk) 10:59, 1 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
Who care who is currently the oldest flight school. The oldest was operated by the Wright Brothers. I don't see any reference to this. This is just advertising and should be removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Neoriche (talkcontribs) 16:07, 3 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Well as stated above I disagree. There is no indication this is an advertisement as there is no link to to the school and the item is well referenced. I assume that User:72.174.245.207 above and you are the same editor? - Ahunt (talk) 16:11, 3 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Have no idea who 72.174.245.207 is. But this should be a link to a Wikipedia page about the school otherwise it could be stated that any unique school could be listed on this page. The smallest flight school, the largest flight school, the first in America, the last to go out of business. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Neoriche (talkcontribs) 16:16, 3 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

There is no requirement to have an article on the school, although it would probably make the notability requirements for one. The fact that it is the oldest existing flight school is notable enough for this article and it is properly referenced to an independent third party ref. -

Ground School edit

The term "ground school" is thrown around in aviation stuff, but there doesn't seem to be a formal definition or page on wikipedia. Just bringing it up for discussion among people in the know.--Varkman (talk) 23:23, 5 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

A sentence or two could be added to this article. - Ahunt (talk) 21:26, 7 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
Done and a redirect created from Ground school. See what you think or if more should be said. - Ahunt (talk) 17:06, 9 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
Works for me!--Varkman (talk) 10:18, 11 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
