Fingilish or Pingilish? edit

Should this be called Finglish or Pinglish? The name used in Iran is usually Pinglish between internet users. Also because the official english name of the languages is Persian, so mixing it would create Pingilish.

I suggest that this article is renamed to Pinglish.Mahanchian 23:52, 18 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

fingilish, i insist edit

AS an active internet and sms user, i rarely heard of people calling it pinglish.
it is fingilish because it is mixture of farsi and English . note that people inside Iran call their language Farsi not Persian.
So i insist of using finglish instead of pinglish. --Babakgh 22:27, 15 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

The redirect is wrong edit

The redirect at the top which speaks of a pidkin language composed of Finnish and Latin is incorrect. That link leads to an article on a Finnish/English pidgin. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.96.238.53 (talk) 21:58, 18 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Fingilish or Pingilish? edit

I note that there is inconsistency in this article, since "Pingilish" is used as the preferred form within the article but the title is still spelled "Fingilish". Should this be altered to reflect common usage? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.194.105.170 (talk) 12:43, 8 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

That old debate. edit

Fingilish versus Pinglish. Seeing as the article has been languishing in an unstandardised state for several years, I've decided to take it upon myself to standardise it. As Fingilish is the title of the article I will use that terminology at all points in the article where appropriate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by IrishStephen (talkcontribs) 00:47, 28 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
