Closure
editUser:pcuser42 User:LJ Holden (whoever else)
Society has wound up for some time now, and rolling stock started being shifted away, what's the best way to update the article, is Facebook a source? As per: https://www.facebook.com/groups/ferrymead2ft/posts/4329016280461185

- As a Facebook group I'd say that's not a reliable source. The best way would be to find a news article or a press release or something along those lines, and use that as a citation instead. pcuser42 (talk) 01:57, 14 November 2021 (UTC)
- The only other source I can find is the Incorporated Societies register which shows the incorporated society was dissolved in March. I do recall seeing a mention of this though in I think NZRO or maybe Linesider, as all the equipment has gone to Blenheim (?) - will look into this --LJ Holden 07:05, 14 November 2021 (UTC)
Closure again
editOk, so my edit got reverted. Surely it's against policy to have many years out of date, incorrect information in an article...

Thoughts....?

- I think the issue is you removed most of the article. Three non-Facebook sources show they're no longer operating:
- Incorporated societies show they're dissolved (or at least their incorporated society is)
- Ferrymead's own website doesn't list them anymore
- Equipment listed with Riverside Railway that is listed in the article as being with the 2 Foot Railway Society.
- I would edit the article so that it's past tense and add about the closure based on the above sources. --LJ Holden 09:46, 26 March 2024 (UTC)
