The image titled Sanct Grael was not modelled by Fanny Cornforth. She was much bigger boned than this.

[1] indicates that the sitter for this image was Alexa Wilding. In my opinion, a much better image i.e. showing Fanny realistically, can be seen in a coloured chalk portrait on pale green paper (also by Rossetti). Currently held in the Birmingham City Museum and Art Gallery. Image at [2].

If we can do so without infringing copyrights, we should put one of these drawings in. Rosetti's painted heads in artworks are unreliable as biographical likenesses of models since he blended his women's likenesses to suit his artistic aspirations. Why is it not very "nice". Is fleshy insulting, or redhead? I fail to see why either are problematic. BTW, though it sometimes is done, it is not generally appropriate to put citations at the very beginning next to the then name, as it is not clear what fact is beiong cited. Sarah Cox edit

I believe it is almost certain that she was Sarah Cox. Compare citations 1 and 2 and look at the census refs that I added. I'm proposing to modify the statement that it is uncertain, which seems to be based on work in 1985.Dendrotek 20:03, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
