Ok,has anyone actually proofed this page? This is the worst writing I've read in a very long time. "retardedness?" This is not a word. Egad.

"In 1916, Everett, Washington was facing epic retardedness." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.231.221.217 (talk) 02:18, 20 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Date and number of IWWs edit

I just reverted an edit that had changed the date to October 30 and the number of IWWs to 41. In fact, 41 IWWs did take a boat to Everett that day, and they were beaten and deported by Sheriff McRae and his deputies. This was an important event as somewhat of a "last straw," but the actual massacre did in fact occur almost a week later and included closer to 300 IWWs. This page is one I'm planning to expand, and the October 30 confrontation will get a section if I get around to it, but for now the information is correct, if incomplete. My source, by the way, is Harry O'Connor's Revolution in Seattle: A Memoir first published 1964, my edition reprinted 2009 by Haymarket Books, Chicago, IL. pp. 42-45. Litos ... or Wobblies? edit

The intro states that members of the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW) union were commonly called "Litos" - but this is not used in the subsequent paragraphs; instead, Confrontation at the dock mentions "Wobblies". Is Litos wrong? Prisoner of Zenda (talk) 07:38, 5 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
