Arnoutf, Eurolines is not a Netherlands based company so correct this template please. According to their website it is a Belgium registered company. In my memory it is not a company which started from within the Netherlands too. It used to be a cooperation of European bus companies. 83.85.143.141 (talk) 02:23, 15 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Earlier version of the article edit

Eurolines organization is a brand name of a group that consists of 32 independent coach companies. Eurolines provides bus transportation service from country to country in whole Europe, including Morocco. The 32 coach/bus companies all working together under a harmonized system. This means that the 32 coach/bus companies share the same general transport conditions, quality standards and conditions of sale. Because of Eurolines being a network of co-operating bus companies from all over Europe there only threat is from substitute services.

The market segments of Eurolines are mainly students and low income groups. Vacationers and the above 25 (age) group attach more value to reliability, convenience and comfort. The main reason why student and low income groups choose for Eurolines is because of the lack of own transportation (in the form of a car).

The primary service of Eurolines is bus transportation through out whole Europe, but besides of this it also offers other slightly different products and services.

Discount card At Eurolines you can also buy a discount card that offers you 25% discount on almost every trip you make with Eurolines. There are two types of discount cards; three months valid and six months valid.

Mini-Pass With the mini pass formula Eurolines offers you the opportunity to travel to two major cities for a reduced price. The price of the mini-pass depends on which cities you want to visit.

Pass For a fixed price you are able to travel throughout 47 cities unlimited. Eurolines offers 4 kinds of passes;

Eurolines makes use of different distribution channels

Electronic commerce On the internet site of Eurolines you can buy a ticket online with your credit card of ATM card. You receive your ticket by mail.

Intermediary You can also book your ticket at most travel agencies.

Direct Eurolines has in every major city one or more offices were you can buy your bus ticket. The offices of Eurolines are usually near important railway stations.

It is also possible to contact the call center of Eurolines and buy your ticket by phone. However, you will need to have credit card for this.

All products and services of Eurolines are offered for a monetary price, which you pay immediately. Eurolines does not offer the opportunity to pay in terms. However, Eurolines does offer discount for customers who book well in advance before their travel date. The earlier you buy a bus ticket, the bigger the discount you receive. To receive this discount one has to purchase the bus ticket 30, 15 or 7 days in advance. Also baby’s, children, students and seniors receive discount.

• Babies from 0 to 3 years receive 80% discount • Children from 4 to 11 years receive 50% discount • Students and seniors receive 10% discount

The discount that customers get for purchasing a bus ticket in advance is very attractive, but one needs to be very sure that it indeed is going to travel the specific date. Many times I bought my bus ticket in advance, because of the discount, and a couple of times it resulted that something came up and I was unable to travel. In this case Eurolines does not offer refunds. However, Eurolines does allow you to change your ticket once.

Discount ticket (only once changeable) Fee: Until 48 hours before departure: both additional payment up to the price of a standard ticket and any possible surcharges plus € 8 changing fee Within 48 hours before departure or no show: cannot be changed or cancelled —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.65.160.151 (talk) 03:09, 8 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Non-profit organization edit

How is possible that "Eurolines Organisation is an International Non-Profit Organisation according the Belgian law"? (see here). --Holapaco77 (talk) 14:51, 7 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

You should adress the Belgian authorities about this, not Wikipedia. It is on a Eurolines website, not on Wikipedia. Further, let me remind you about the practice of tax evasion: the Brussels bureau may not be the seat of the financial branch of the company. 83.85.143.141 (talk) 02:11, 15 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

big edit edit

I edited the article to update dead links to the eurolines.com website that seems now to redirect to Deutsche Touring. I removed the implication that Flixbus had taken over Eurolines, which has only occurred in a large group of countries but not in total.Nankai (talk) 20:12, 18 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
