New International Encyclopedia lists a portrait of "John Nelson Cole," however, that is probably an error. The portrait is probably that of Frank Nelson Cole. I have no evidence that a person named "John Nelson Cole" was painted. GhostofSuperslum 13:25, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

There is a newspapers article on Eugen Edward Speicher that says he left for New York on 23 Sep 1906 to enter into his studies there. It includes a picture of him at that time. More needs to be said about how much of an asshole he was and he how he taunted and intimidated O'Keefe into posing for him, telling her she was nothing and would amount to nothing and he would be the better artist in the end.
