Equating ethnos simply with ethnic group is not sufficient; the meaning of ethnos in Ancient Greek as well as in modern has a complex meaning and in classical terms even some legal meaning (as does deme etc.). I'll link to this on WP Classical Greece and Rome and see if this could maybe be expanded into a proper classics-scholarly article instead of its current over-simplified dab-only.Skookum1 (talk) 19:37, 22 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
