Opened for edit
Lists of who a band or musician has "opened for" is a cheesy trick used in promotional material for second-rate bands. It's nothing more than pathetic name-dropping. I deleted the section, because its very presense is a clear indication that the band is not notable. If the band itself has any important performances, they might be indicated in the article. "Opened for" again. So this nonsense is is back, under the even cheesier description "shared the stage with", a euphemism for the band being a local opening act. This very notion of listing "shared the stage with" is prima facie evidence of lack of notability. If the only performances you can list are opening for real notable bands, then the band is not significant and does not deserve an article on Wikipedia. This local band has had a successful release of a vanity recording, because of the massive advertising on local late-night TV paid for by the deep pockets of the billionaire hobbyist.
E & the A are a small-time local band, with a few former members of formerly successful bands. In other words, has-beens. Thanks to the advertising bought by the billionaire hobbyist/guitarist who supports the band, their album was able to achieve #7 on Billboard's chart for Blues Albums, for a few weeks. Hardly fame and fortune. That the band "boasts" of haveing Billboard Top 10 artists is not noteweorthy on a few counts. First, it's redundant as the albums #7 status is mentioned. Second, #7 on the Blues Album chart is hardly as significant as the unqualified "#10" statement implies, it's one of the lesser charts. And third, it's a "boast". So I deleted it.
The band has had a measure of success, but let's not let this turn into a fan page pretending that this band is more than what it really is: a rich guy's hobby, with a few aging has-been rockers on the payroll, and a moderately successful album.
