The two articles are of very similar topics. --Tungsten (talk) 09:37, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

Similare but both are justified. See also Talk:Environmental degradation. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 09:00, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

Page name

"Issues" is a little problematic for some editors. See Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2008_February_12#Category:Environmental_threats for a bit of a discussion. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 09:00, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

Who first realized environmental issues?

Surely, there is a single person/group/organization who, at some point in the past, noticed the environmental threats and publicized them. Paradox Juice (talk) 21:08, 12 March 2010 (UTC)

Rather than an individual person or group noticing collective environmental issues it was a trend over many years but increasingly highlighted since the 1960s by protest groups. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 00:14, 13 March 2010 (UTC)
I removed the wording that suggested that environmentalism "started" in the sixties because it sounds like both comments here agree that it didn't "start" then, and the page on Environmentalism doesn't seem to say that it did either. The page on Environmentalism cites conservation and the establishment of National Parks in the US in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. While there may be reasons for marking the sixties off as important in the history of what is today called environmentalism, it is misleading to say that it "started" then. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:D:2200:A01:8C67:41C7:D6EA:5CA7 (talk) 05:00, 12 January 2015 (UTC)

Unclear title, biased or potentially misleading use of terminology?

See various meanings of the word "issue". Environmental issues are any matters relating to an environment. · · · Peter Southwood (talk):

The title is very vague and does not suggest a reasonably defined scope for the topic. I suggest rename to Environmental impact of human activity. · · · Peter Southwood (talk): 15:00, 27 July 2022 (UTC)

this article needs to be completely overhauled.

this article is a mess. I’m a very new editor so I’m a bit cautious but in this case I’m going to remove some things and put down a solid foundation at the beginning, at least, to clear the way for other people to move forward Freyheytlid (talk) 14:10, 17 February 2023 (UTC)
