I'm not conviced that this is an improvement. What I want to say is "... southward through the vally called Engelsbachtal. Near the reservoir called Schwanenteich..." Actually, Engelsbach can be translated as (small) river of the angels and Engelsbachtal as valley of the river of the angels and Schwanenteich as pond of the swans, therefore adding valley and reservoir after Engelsbachtal and Schwanenteich is somehow doubling the words. I'm aware of Wikipedia:WikiProject_Germany/Conventions#Group_B but in this case I prefer not to change it into Engels river valley (or Engel river valley? the s denotes the genitive case) and into Schwanen Pond (or Schwäne Pond or Schwan Pond? Schwanen is both related to singular Schwan and plural Schwäne...).
