Removal of Canadian embassy stuff
editI removed this para.: "Furthermore, Canada enjoys a prime location for its Embassy on Pennsylvania Avenue. It is located very close to the Capitol Building and is almost directly across from the National Gallery of Art. So far, it is the only nation to be granted such a privilage. However, the Canadian Ambassador maintains a residence in the old location of the embassy, just off of Embassy Row."
Because:
- "Prime location" is subjective. Most embassies are not on Capitol Hill because they prefer to be closer to the White House, the State Dept., and each other. (Canada's embassy deals with more legislative issues than other delegations, hence the proximity to Congress.)
- Canada was not "granted the privilage". They bought the land just like every other embassy. Other embassies could move into the neighborhood if they chose.
- This is an article about Embassy Row, not Capitol Hill nor the Canadian Embassy, both of which have their own articles.

New location of Georgian Embassy
editAccording to its own website, the embassy of Georgia has moved to 2209 Massachusetts Ave. NW, in the middle of Embassy Row (the building appears to have been used by the military attaché office of the UAE). Could someone verify this and update the article? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.5.16.251 (talk) 04:58, 22 February 2007 (UTC).
"Papuan embassy"
editThe picture for the Papua New Guinea embassy is actually a photo of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Somebody should replace it with a photo of the real embassy, if there is one. 75.62.130.32 (talk) 07:22, 10 September 2012 (UTC) (user kbog, currently not logged in)
- Hi. The Embassy of Papua New Guinea is located within the same building. They don't have their own chancery so they rent office space instead; it's not all that unusual. Best, epicAdam(talk) 13:08, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
