Of course someone with a functional voicebox can use an electrolarynx in the same way that those who don't have one do, and simply not vibrate their vocal cords (just mouth / articulate the words). No different from how musicians (with vocal cords) use a talk box without simultaneously actually speaking / singing. --Dan Harkless (talk) 05:08, 7 September 2016 (UTC)

This SERIOUSLY needs to be expanded

What does it do, spectrum-wise. What is the typical spectrogram of speech of someone who needs it, and what does the device to to make the speech clearer? Is it a flanger, phasor, compressor, short-time fast fourier transform type thing? How does it work? What is the schematic of the circuitry?
