State legislature edit

I've added past majorities for the state House, operating under the assumption that the Speakers' parties reflect the majority parties. This is not necessarily a foolproof method, but at least it gives some idea of the party holding enough power to have one of its members elected speaker. Qqqqqq (talk) 18:47, 8 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

I've marked much of the history of the state Senate as unknown because I'm not sure how long, if ever, Republicans held the Senate during Reconstruction. The rest of the time since then, I'm fairly certain, has had Democratic majorities, but this needs further confirmation. Qqqqqq (talk) 19:42, 16 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Inconsistency In Title edit

Why is this article titled "Elections in Alabama"? The similar article for all other states is "Political Party Strength in X"
