Edwin McCain signed with Vanguard Records in the fall of 2005. He is currently in his studio in Greenville, SC, recording a new CD to be released in the spring of 2006. McCain is co-owner of OMG/Phoenix Recording Studio, formerly Capricorn Records.
Edwin has also recently released a new single titled, "Hold Out a Hand." Co-written and sung with Maia Sharp [who did the duet with Edwin on the SCREAM & WHISPER CD], ALL PROCEEDS from the sale of the single will benefit the hurricane victims through the Red Cross. It is available for download on iTunes.com for 99 cents.
Edwin will also be hosting a new TV series on Turner South. Pilots have already been filmed in Atlanta and have aired several times. The last 2005 airing of the Christmas special was on TURSO on December 22. Edwin is the host, but he performed his acoustic version of "Silent Night" on the show.

Larry Chaney & Craig Shields, members of the Edwin McCain Band, have finished a new sampler CD! Larry & Craig have been busy working on their sax & guitar jazz/bossa nova project titled, “Dois Gemeos” {2 Geminis}. They have just finished a 5-song sampler that will be offered at the merch tables on the EMB After-Christmas Tour. The mix of Larry’s guitar with Craig’s sax creates a sound that is soothing to the soul.
Here is a description in Larry’s own words: Dois Gemeos will feature Craig's beautiful smoky tenor tone against relaxing tracks, suggesting beaches in Brazil on some songs, dark and cool New York nights on others. Special guests include Pete Riley on one track, and a very special lead vocalist on that same track. It will be perfect for those summer trips to a remote beach, or just relaxing in the evening with your favorite person and/or beverage.
By spring, there will be a total of 10 tracks & will include all the members of EMB. This music is very calming to your spirit, and we ALL need that!

Past Edits
editWhy have people been editing the page with trash like changing Larry Chaney's [guitar player] name to Dick Chaney, etc. THere have been several changes like that. I don't understand the point. All of the band members names were changed more than once... to crazy things. —Preceding unsigned comment added by EdwinMcCainMessenger (talk • contribs) 07:41, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
Are there any current editors here working to address the request to expand the lead section into one that provides more insight and overview into the total article contents? It currently exists as just an opening statement.BlackstonB (talk) 02:35, 10 April 2013 (UTC)
