Principal edit

Aldo Sicoli is no longer the principal, he has moved on to an Asst. Superint. job at Burnsville. A new principal has not yet been named, Asst. Princ. Mary Manderfeld will be acting principal until a search is completed and a new principal hired. BenFranske 04:56, 28 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Interesting. Just wondering where you heard/saw this info. Thanks! --Gephart 17:25, 28 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
The fact Aldo is leaving was in the Sun Current a few weeks ago, the other stuff is via personal interviews with building staff.BenFranske 05:00, 29 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Based on a letter sent to students this week Mary Manderfeld has been appointed principal for the coming school year. A search is in progress and a permanent principal will be hired in July 2007. I will change the infobox to reflect Manderfeld's appointment. --BenFranske 23:36, 31 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

A new principal, Dr. Bruce Locklear, has been hired and will start July 1, 2007. More information on the school site. --BenFranske 01:35, 24 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sarah Jacobson edit

Good job everyone on the Edina High School page. This page has really improved over the last year. One of the school's alumni, Sarah Jacobson, who was an filmmaker who died in 2004, has a wikipedia page. Someone has tagged it for deletion. I would appreciate it if any of your Edina editors could review the article and then leave your comments on the proposed deletion page? Thanks --David Straub 01:22, 17 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Assess edit

An excellent start article with some good references. With some more content (eg, a section on the school's curriculum and more on the extra-curricular activities) this could be a B. High importance as the school is clearly recognised at a national level. Dahliarose 22:32, 27 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:EHS logo.gif edit

Image:EHS logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Potential Notable Alumni Vandalism edit

I've noticed a great number of recent anonymous edits to the notable alumni list. Can someone more familiar with this list take a look at the list again? --BenFranske (talk) 07:32, 21 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'm not familiar with the alumni, but a good rule of thumb is to delete names without articles. If they are notable, shouldn't they have articles? If there is a citation but still a red link, that's a tougher call. -Phoenixrod (talk) 17:30, 21 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Equestrian Artistry Club Vandalism edit

User Ben Franske has been deleting notable extra curricular activities pertinent towards Equestrian Artistry Club. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.240.138.186 (talk) 00:28, 8 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

As has been noted by myself an others on the anonymous user talk page this material is of significantly questionable notoriety and is not reliably sourced. Because of this has been removed by myself and others several times and the persistence is considered vandalism. This page has now become semi-protected and only established users signed in to accounts will be able to edit it. Rest assured, if this becomes a considerable and notable event of encyclopedic nature it will be included in the article. --BenFranske (talk) 03:25, 8 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
