Something i've always wondered is why one of Page's middle names is Christmas - anyone know the answer? PMA 08:34, Dec 10, 2003 (UTC)

I think it was a family name. I had a friend at school whose mother was called Mary Christmas.

I'm a great granddaughter of Earle Page and nobody in the family seems to know where the name 'Christmas' comes from. My father's middle name is 'Christopher' after him though. 110.32.173.163 (talk) 15:46, 25 September 2014 (UTC)

Length of service

We say he had 41 years, 361 days in parliament. He was elected at the 1919 election, held on 13 December 1919. He died on 20 December 1961. That makes 42 years, 8 days by my count. Parliamentary service is counted from the date of the election/by-election, not from the date of declaration of the poll or whatever else. Terminology and numbering

There is an ongoing discussion here about finding a consistent term to describe Earle Page, Frank Forde and John McEwen's premierships in their articles and beyond (acting, caretaker, interim etc). It has also touched upon how to number Australian Prime Ministers. It would be very much appreciated if any interested editors could join in and voice their thoughts on the matter! Thanks!
