editI'm not sure exactly where the duster regained its popularity from in the 1990's, but I'm fairly certain it wasn't from the J. Peterman catalog - the J. Peterman catalog was the fake catalog Elaine worked for on "Seinfeld." Maybe it was in the L.L. Bean catalog? -L. Greenway, Macon, GA

Can we get a source for the last line? Just because a video game character wears something doesn't automatically mean it's somehow a resurgant fashion force.

Some sections of the trenchcoat article reference the association of black oilcloth and leather dusters with modern punk and goth fashion, but refer to them as "duster style trenchcoats," rather than dusters. Also, in contrast to what this article implies, Australian style dusters are in heavy use in the Australian outback and other primarily equestrian work environments. -18.243.2.118 (talk) 05:22, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

- Yes, blunt section blanking is rarely a good idea. Especially so when, as here, it's carelessly done and it deleted entries that were more worthy of inclusion (Once Upon a Time in the West, where dusters are an explicit plot device) than some of the film entries left behind.
