Mixed reviews, not positive edit

Clearly as shown in the roughly 10 reviews mentioned in the "critical reception" section, the movie received ratings ranging from 1/5 to 5/5. So, the reviews are mixed. Indian express is not an obscure tabloid. If reading the ten reviews separately and understanding that they are mixed is not in someone's capacity, then this Indian express article [1] mentions it outright that the reviews are mixed. </nowiki> Aisheee (talk) 17:35, 21 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

You added an obscure tabloid (Janbharat Times) in this edit, trying to obfuscate that with the Indian Express isn't going to work, this isn't twitter. The IE piece on the other hand is a box office blurb attributed to an entertainment desk. Two bylined articles and a total of three different sources is much stronger sourcing than whatever junk you've presented and MensXP is a standard lifestyle magazine, reliable enough for film coverage. And again drawing conclusions from a wikipedia list of reviews is original research, that is, it's just your opinion and it doesn't matter, we rely on sources. Not sharing your opinion isn't vandalism, if anything your incessant edit warring to add that boycott misinformation can be called vandalism.
Pinging editors with the most contributions to the page, LaibahFirdaus1, Sush150, Imam Sharjeel, Khiladi King. Do you think the lead should say that the film "opened to positive reviews from critics" (based on India Today bylined, MensXP bylines, Hindustan Times blurb). or that it "opened to mixed reviews from critics" (based on Janbharat Times, Indian Express blurb) or something else? JanBharat Times is irrelevant tbh. It's just a newsportal, not a newspaper/magazine/mainstream media house.
Indian Express can be considered imv. Although it doesn't have a byline, it goes on to add a two-line critical summary unlike the other sources. -- Ab207 (talk) 09:43, 22 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Ab207, the summary is a copy paste; you can see the same lines in their other box office updates and ultimately derived from their own review. They seem to preferential weigh their own review over others which is why I assume it calls it mixed since their own review is negative. Imo, unless there's supporting sources to the IE blurbs, we should ignore it as updates like that barely have any editorial oversight beyond the BO figure itself. The rest is just derived from a repeated template which is being contradicted by multiple others in this case.
And I don't think the other sources not have their own critical summaries of the film is a negative or position, they aren't review article so they aren't expected to have a summary like that. The bylined articles are a summary of the general reception and the other blurb is a box office update. Anyways, what's your position on how to present it? Tayi Arajakate Talk 20:05, 23 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Tayi Arajakate Perhaps we can mention positive in the lead since that's a majority view (discounting non-RS Janbharat Times) while attributing IE as a minority view in the prose. -- Ab207 (talk) 12:36, 24 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Yeah that seems alright. I wouldn't mind it. Tayi Arajakate Talk 14:28, 25 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Any if the critic didn't mention 1 out of 5 stars. The film got positive reviews from critics as majority of thw critcs have given thumbs up. Khiladi King (talk) 05:54, 22 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
