Company with "Television" in their name decides not to make televisions? edit
Since there are no online sources, and only two refs mentioned in line, it's hard to verify, but a 2017 edit changed the article from saying the company tried to make televisions and failed without getting to market, to the flat "the company decided to not make television sets." The original sounds more likely, but I don't want to make any revisions without backing sources.--NapoliRoma (talk) 22:46, 19 August 2019 (UTC)
Plant location edit
It was located at Beard & Chatfield Sts. in SW Detroit and occupied the whole block to Green St. During the Great Depression, especially the WWII years, Detrola offered "Women's work" such as electronics manufacturing because the work was light and required more detail than men would typically employ. Further, it was one of the few employers in SW Detroit for ANY work. Well-paying jobs were scarce during the depression. 216.115.253.58 (talk) 06:06, 8 January 2024 (UTC)
