I still have some doubts about the notability of this person, the flag should not have been removed so lightly. For one thing, it is the work of one person. I may be wrong, but it may even be an autobiography, see WP:AUTOBIO. PatGallacher (talk) 10:11, 29 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

It's not an autobiography. For what it's worth, I do know someone who knows him. But I've never met him. I have seen him perform, once. Bmju (talk) 12:27, 29 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

I've added some more stuff to the page to attempt to establish O'Connor's notability. For what it's worth, http://server.microlite23.com/beyondthecabaret.com/des_oconnor.html and http://www.myspace.com/desoconnor appear to establish that O'Connor has received coverage in The Guardian, Time Out, The Evening Standard, Channel 4 and Radio 4. @PatGallacher - With the addition of new material to the page, I have removed the Notability template again. If you still question this and put it back, I won't get into an edit war - I'll leave it. My reasoning is that, even from the information I gathered from secondary sources on the web, I think this person is clearly notable enough (in the UK, at least - which, I'm sure you agree, would be sufficient) to be included in Wikipedia. I think the new material which has been added from an anonymous IP (again, for the avoidance of doubt, 100% not me) helps establish notability even further. I haven't tried to check and confirm all the new stuff which has appeared - though I think common sense strongly indicates that it would check out as true. (Of course it still needs referencing, hence I have added Fact and Refimprove templates as appropriate.) Bmju (talk) 09:36, 2 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

All sources have rotted, though most are archived, and are nearly all promotional and unreliable. No claim have done anything in this field since 2010, though perhaps an update could improve that. The claim to notability includes having enjoyed a privileged education at the same time and place as some blue-linked people. It's the English way. --Monxton (talk) 23:12, 28 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
