Ggg edit

A department store is a retail establishment offering a wide range of consumer goods in different areas of the store, each area ("department") specializing in a product category. In modern major cities, the department store made a dramatic appearance in the middle of the 19th century, and permanently reshaped shopping habits, and the definition of service and luxury. 27.60.101.89 (talk) 11:45, 20 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Department store & Department stores by country edit

Currently we have the above two named pages. This page Department store has gaping holes (sections with just headers), while Department stores by country has some of the same information, but more detail from around the world (less American focused). Should we merge both pages? Then trim the unreferenced? Or is there another way to improve this article? Possibly generalising the department store page with headline info and leaving detail on the country page?Davidstewartharvey (talk) 10:33, 9 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
