Not spam edit

I think User:JohnCD's spam detector was a bit overly trigger happy here! Even though the article is clearly still a stub, it does already contain a reference to a popular scientific magazine with an interview with its inventor. The rather unique nature of the product and the scientific principle behind how it works is (albeit still very briefly) explained. I have no connection whatsoever with the manufacturer and I aimed to write the article in a neutral way and carefully avoided marketing language. I argue that this article is clearly not spam, and I request the speedy revocation of the speedy deletion request. Jomsborg (talk) 11:00, 20 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Dentyl & covid-19. Brand names outside UK. edit

3 products which contained either

(i) 0.07-0.1 % CPC (Dentyl Dual Action, Dentyl Fresh Protect) or

(ii) 23 % ethanol with LAE (Listerine Advanced) provided the greatest level of inactivation, surpassing the level required for EN14476.

in VITRO, but they will do a 12-week study on humans and publish the results in 2021.

....

Official Dentyl website only mentions the Dual, not Fresh as of 29th Nov 2020:

Professor Martin Addy, a dentistry professor at the University of Bristol, said toothpaste contains the same detergents as those found in soap and hand wash gels, which could help prevent the virus behind Covid-19 from making itself too comfortable in your mouth. The antimicrobial action of toothpaste in the mouth persists for 3 to 5 hours and, thereby, would reduce the viral load in saliva or infection by viruses entering the mouth, he reportedly told The Telegraph.

Image of the product(s) edit

I have no idea about copyrights and how to add images to Wikipedia articles.

I think the article needs image of the bottle, as it has a really unique shape, and the contents is in 2 phases: water phase and oil phase. That's why the bottle looks like it has 2 colors, although it is the contents of the bottle that has 2 colors/colours.

This image https://dentylactive.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Dentyl_bottles_V3-1.png Has a link from page https://dentylactive.com/ as of 2020-Dec-18.

The good thing about the images is it shows 3 different flavors, although there are a bit more flavors/flavours available.

If you need to ask about image copyrights, they seem to reply quickly at https://www.facebook.com/DentylUK/

I am just using the product myself, no ties to the company.

Benzoate added? edit

“The study found that benzoate diminished the activity of CPC. Subsequent to the study, benzoate was added to the ingredients of Dentyl Dual Action.”

They added benzoate after they found out it diminished the activity of their antimicrobial agent, CPC? Where is the source for this and/or the reasoning behind it? 90.242.3.247 (talk) 00:09, 19 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
