Why Ming Dynasty particularly? This is sufficient: "Delftware inspired by Chinese originals persisted from about 1630 to the mid-eighteenth century alongside European patterns." Marshall46 (talk) 22:39, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

Marl

(1) Marl is a type of clay, for example Eturia marl. (2) Earthenware is a type of ceramic, \3) Occasionally found description of earthenware clay needs proper interpretation, it means a clay body that when correctly fired forms earthenware, (4) saying Marl is rich is calcium compounds is more accurate than lime, which is CaO. The edits by the editor were not original research or point of view - rather they improved the article by giving a more correct description. The "See Also" section should lose the names of porcelain factories except where they were established on the sites of former tinglaze factories or were established by entrepreneurs previously engaged in faience making. So, Weesp and Porsgrund could go as Wikipedia's articles on them don't mention delftware. Modern undertakings which produce several classes of ceramics including tinglaze could also go unless they originally produced tinglaze. Articles on them could link to this page to explain term.truthordare (talk) 08:04, 5 October 2015 (UTC)
