Defence Ministry of Belarus → Ministry of Defence (Belarus) – To match most of the other articles in Category:Defence ministries, which put the country name in brackets. Sildemund (talk) 17:23, 5 June 2020 (UTC)
Opposeper nom rationale. Our WP:TITLES policy is to name topics based on their WP:COMMONNAME in English sources. We don't prescriptive rename simply to match other articles in a category. -- Netoholic @ 20:59, 5 June 2020 (UTC)- Sorry, I’m quite new to this. Having read that policy, I also say that "Ministry of Defence" is used on their official website. It is also used on their Government website, and even the lead of the article has been using "Ministry of Defence" rather than "Defence Ministry" since October 2017. The majority of the articles in Category:Government ministries of Belarus also use the format "Ministry of Foo (Belarus). Sildemund (talk) 21:39, 5 June 2020 (UTC)
- Changing to Support. While WP:OFFICIALNAMES are not always the COMMMONNAME we use for titling, in this case reliable secondary sources (news mostly) seem mixed between "Ministry of Defense" and "Defense Ministry". Going support mainly to be WP:CONSISTENT with other Belarus ministry articles, and acknowledging that option does match the official website. -- Netoholic @ 16:51, 6 June 2020 (UTC)
