Update of the gallery locations and participations in Art Basel Hong Kong 2017 and 2018 edit

Some proposed changes edit

"In 2014, De Sarthe Gallery opened an 8,000 square foot space in Caochangdi,Chaoyang District, Beijing."

"In 2017, De Sarthe Gallery opened a new space with 10,000 square foot in Wong Chuk Hang, a burgeoning art district in the south side of Hong Kong island."

The basic information about gallery locations in Beijing and Hong Kong comes from the official website of the gallery.https://www.desarthe.com/about.html

"It participated consecutively in Art Basel Hong Kong in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018."

I update of the participation of the gallery in Art Basel 2017 and 2018, which can be confirmed from a leading online data base in arts field called Artsy https://www.artsy.net/show/de-sarthe-gallery-de-sarthe-gallery-at-art-basel-in-hong-kong-2017and the official gallery catalogue in Art Basel website.https://www.artbasel.com/catalog/gallery/1354/de-Sarthe-Gallery

  1. The text in your proposal is insufficiently paraphrased from the source material. Text added to the article must be phrased using your own words. Please see WP:CLOSEPARAPHRASE for more information about this requirement.
  2. One of the links provided as a reference is non-functional and in any event, is not a WP:RS.
  3. Information on a gallery opening a new exhibit space is usually significant when those openings include notable pieces or exhibits being featured. In and of itself a gallery marking extra space off for future exhibits is not ideally notable, and is akin to WP:MILL (too ordinary for inclusion).
  4. It is not clear through the proposed text what is meant by the words participated consecutively. Please elaborate by giving added context for the reader. What type of participation is included in the Hong Kong Basel event? Does the gallery receive items during the event or does it send them out? Is the event local to the gallery itself or does it involve other gallery spaces throughout the city? Please clarify and include sources, perhaps local Hong Kong media such as newspapers, or online media from news organizations unconnected to the art-world.

Just to add a little to what Spintendo has said:
  • Baiser1994, you still need to declare the nature of your connection to this gallery. If you receive, or expect to receive, any payment of any kind from the gallery or its owners, you are obliged to disclose who pays you. Please see the advice I left on your talk-page here.
  • This is the English-language Wikipedia, so stuff we write here needs to be in English – not just English words, but comprehensible English syntax and idiom. One possible way of rephrasing "It participated consecutively in Art Basel Hong Kong in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018" into idiomatic English is "Since 2015 it has been among the hundreds of galleries taking part in Art Basel Hong Kong" – which is what our article says.
  • Artsy is not a "leading online database", or indeed a reliable source at all – it's an advertising site for art galleries ("Promote your works and artists to the largest online art audience").
  • The real problem with this article is that the gallery appears not to be notable by our standards. Unless someone soon finds some solid reliable sources with substantial in-depth coverage of the topic, I plan to nominate it for deletion. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 15:44, 16 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
