Contested deletion edit
This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because the subject has made some very important contributions to the UK and international computing scene - see "Known For" --TedColes (talk) 18:36, 5 January 2014 (UTC)
I concur. I'd not heard of Dr Hartley, but on reading this page I'd suggest that merely "Joint author of CPL ... which influenced BCPL, C, and C++" would be reason enough to retain it. 86.141.196.130 (talk) 23:24, 5 January 2014 (UTC)
