References and biographical notes

edit

This article contains many facts about a living person. For readability not all the facts have been in line referenced (but their source can be found in the references). All the facts have been retrieved from at least two unrelated sources (I am aware that different sources copy material, regardless of copyright, from other sources). The article does however have the approval of the person described in it. JHvW (talk) 08:39, 13 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Note

edit

Many of David's works are shown in the Wikipedia, but not credited to David, examples are: The cover art for Lou Reed's Sally Can't Dance, the poster for Follies, the Little Shop of Horrors, The Robber Bridegroom, The Grand Tour. I have corrected this in part by including the original artwork in this article (i.e. posters for Follies, The Little Shop of Horrors)
As David Edward Byrd is a prolific artist, it is impossible to trace all his work.
As David has obviously made an important contribution to American culture this article is meant to do him justice.
