I agree. A lot of images from a number of pages related to Indian History, Forts and Temples are being altered without stating any reasons. A separate article on Deogiri fort

It is very clear that the existing article is all about Daulatabad city and it does not focus on the fort itself. I propose that a separate article be created on Daulatabad Fort, focusing its architecture, complete history, its impact on tourism and the local people. There are many references and sources on the above proposed subject apart from sources on the internet. Editors, your consensus is required. Nefirious (talk) 21:13, 8 March 2010 (UTC)

Support - That would be a good idea I think because the article says only Daulatabad and has no mention of the fort. Deogiri fort is a vital tourist monument and deserves a separate article. Mozem121 (talk) 16:25, 9 March 2010 (UTC)

Support The primary tourist attraction is Deogiri fort and not Daulatabad city. ( the city is all in ruins and according to the the present population figures it is no more than a village). Besides there are numerous seprate articles on forts in Maharashtra existing in various cities and I don't see any reason why a seprate article on Deogiri fort connot or should not be created. See: List of forts in Maharashtra.

The city of Daulatabad was built around the fort and it was because of the strength of the fort that Muhammad bin Tughluq shifted his capital to the Deccan. Daulatabad fort is one of the major forts in Maharashtra and deserves an article fit for its status. IXU79 (talk) 09:59, 20 March 2010 (UTC)

It's not just about focus on Fort, it's also about the name. Historically the fort's original name was Devgiri Fort, which should be restored here. Government of Maharashtra has officially changed it's name to Devgiri from Daulatabad Abhishek Pujari (talk) 06:51, 14 November 2022 (UTC)

Hello User:Dongar Kathorekar! The article lacks on many aspects to become a GA. The review would be quick fail given poor quality references and unsourced sections. It better if you revert your nomination and put more efforts in cleaning and then maybe try again later. Stop nominating articles like this!!! Renaming page as Devgiri Fort

The page should be renamed as Devgiri Fort as Daulatabad is an outdated name and not in use right now. Government of Maharashtra has officially changed it's name to Devgiri. We can either create a new page with the fort's original name Devgiri Fort and redirect to this page or vice versa. Abhishek Pujari (talk) 06:48, 14 November 2022 (UTC)

Article here indicates Minister Lodha wants this done soon but this hasn't been yet done and is only a proposal as of now. Why are in such as rush? I won't second guess your intentions.
