Dartmouth Conferences (AI) edit

The conference of 1956 was a somewhat important conference, celebrated 50 years later at Dartmouth. Perhaps even greater disambiguation would be good to clarify the conference, or a redirect to this page for someone is seeking that particular conference and types a name like Dartmouth Summer Workshop of 1956, or Dartmouth AI conference 1956? The 2006 conference (?) isn't even mentioned on the page and the "Conferences" title is wrong and should be changed. The only question is to what? Many if not most references in the literature use the term "Dartmouth Workshop" and that describes it much more accurately. I suggest that this article be renamed to that and "Dartmouth Conferences" be rerouted to the Peace conferences referred to below, which were actually much more significant. Dartmouth Conferences (peace) edit

I've created the article on Dartmouth Conferences (peace). It seems to be quite important and possibly better known than the AI conferences. I think this page should be moved to Dartmouth Conferences (AI) or such, and become a disambig. Comments? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 20:43, 13 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Page moved edit

I've renamed this page to Dartmouth workshop to end the confusion between this and the long-running series of Dartmouth peace conferences with which it had got conflated. Darmouth conferences points to that. I've left Dartmouth conference pointing to this page. If there are any links left pointing to the wrong one I apologize – I've done my best. Please fix them. I think it needs a rewrite. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.76.8.87 (talk) 16:02, 16 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
