Talk:Darrell Van Citters

Disputable and/or misleading information

edit

Some information regarding Darrel Van Citters involvement in some of his earliest work seems to be slightly glorified, for instance, it's said that he directed the animated television series "Hi Hi Puffy AmyYumi", yet there's no trace of his involvement in Puffy AmyYumi's main article, and the IMDb page only credit him as the director of an "unknown" number of episodes. Furethermore, he's also credited for "directing popular Looney Tunes cartoons featuring Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck (...)", with the link redirecting to the main article about the original Looney tunes show. The vagueness of this affirmation seems to imply that he, in fact, worked on cartoons from the 60's (Foghorn has not been the star of a looney tunes episode since 1963), at a time where he would be a teenager at best, a 4 year old at worse.

Some choice of words also hint at a small amount of bias: the California Institute of the Arts for instance is described, in article, as "prestigious".

And there's overall, a huge amount of work where David Van Citter remain uncredited, yet the article often make Van Citter's involvement bigger than what it seems to be. Not to mention the lack of mention of some less glorifying work directed by him, like "Chop Kick Panda". So, while not wholy fabricated, for instance he's indeed credited for the making of Box-Office Bunny, the phrasing seems to try to make the influence of Van Citter in some places too big for having been uncredited so many times.
