Albums & Single charts edit

I am in the middle of adding details and difference between the albums. I should finish it by the end of the 23, but I will need to change the albums layout.

Secondly would any one mind if I added a key to the singles charts explaining that some chart positions or unknown or it is unknown if a single was released. Ie disremeberance was released in Japan, but no one knows it chart position.sailor iain 00:24, 23 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Personally I would not include promo albums or remix albums under the Studio albums headings. Also many of the differences can be placed in the article about the album. The discography article is meant to be an overview of all of Minogue's releases. -- Underneath-it-All 00:28, 23 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

UK and European singles and album edit

just for future reference, Most european countries will have an individual release, their may also be a European single or albums are normally different.sailor iain 21:41, 15 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

GA Review edit

I am failing this because I don't think it is an article, but that it is more of a list. I would encourage you to take this to this to Good Article Review [1]where other people can discuss whether an article like this does indeed qualify, as my opinion may not be shared by others. I'm Extremely confused edit

About her studio album Dannii. Was it released with any singles. On the tracklisting, it has songs which link to singles from Love and Kisses. And there are no singles from Dannii listed. And the singles from Love and Kisses were released before Dannii? I'm extremely confused. I'd be extremely grateful if someone explained it to me.--124.149.58.113 (talk) 06:14, 16 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Dannii and Love and Kisses were the same album. It was released with different names in different countries. I've updated the list of singles to reflect that. 69.159.196.72 (talk) 16:20, 28 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hits and Beyond / Club Disco edit

Dannii's official website lists Club Disco as a studio album, and Hits and Beyond as a compilation. I've updated this page to reflect that. Some people might argue that Club Disco should be called a compilation because it contains previously released tracks, but keep in mind that the only place those tracks previously appeared was on another compilation. It makes sense to think of Club Disco as a studio album, with Hits and Beyond giving a preview of certain tracks. 69.159.196.72 (talk) 16:25, 28 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

I'll also note that some other Wikipedia pages already list Club Disco as a studio album. Any pages that refer to it as a compilation should be changed for consistency. 69.159.196.72 (talk) 17:10, 28 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
There a bit of a side-by-side release. Even though they were released completely times, her name is written in the same icon, the style of music is the same and yes they have tracks from eachother.--124.149.64.168 (talk) 13:28, 5 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sales edit

I think it's very important to have an album sales table, because due to her limited success it's unclear if an album is a success or not. On top of that it's useful info.--124.149.64.168 (talk) 13:33, 5 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Singles Australian chart positions edit

I noticed that IP 188.223.123.8 has repeatedly removed the Australian chart positions for "I Don't Wanna Take This Pain" (92) and "Get Into You" (79), but these have been reverted. I checked the cited sources and they support all of the Australian chart positions except these two. This appears to be the reason for the removals. -- Tom N (tcncv) talk/contrib 22:46, 6 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

they werent uk, they were australian. and both are sourced using the australian chart book. i'll add the ref. Mister sparky (talk) 22:55, 6 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
They weren't sourced from David Kent's Australian Chart Book, actually. That book/those books use the Kent Music Report chart, which ARIA licensed from mid 1983 until 19th June 1988. From 26th June 1988, ARIA produced the chart in-house, and this was thereafter considered Australia's 'official' chart. The Kent Report (or Australian Music Report as it became known) chart ceased publication in early 1998, leaving the ARIA chart as Australia's sole chart. David Kent continued to publish music books, however, based on his own charts, through to 2006. The 'I Don't Wanna Take This Pain' and 'Get Into You' Australian peaks were taken from the ARIA top 100 chart, which was available via subscription (The ARIA Report) from January 1990, and copies of The ARIA report (though not necessarily from its commencement) can be found in most Australian State Libraries. Gavin Ryan published two books, in 2008 and 2011, outlining ARIA top 100 peaks (top 50 only prior to January 1990, however) between 1988 and 2008/2010 respectively; these ARIA peaks (and others between 51-100, from January 1990) can also be sourced from there (the 2008 book only details singles chart peaks, however). I've added this book as a reference to Dannii's discography page.Nqr9 (talk) 01:00, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Certifications edit

Can i just point out that "Love and Kissess" was certified Gold in Australia, as was Neon Nights certified Gold in Australia according to sources on both the articles. Can someone please add them in? 92.22.30.207 (talk) 11:59, 5 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Not done the sources used for both are a self-published website which no longer exists. official sources state that neither are certified in australia. Mister sparky (talk) 22:59, 5 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
Only the 'Love and Kisses' single was certified gold from the releases you mention; though other singles (already details on the page) also went gold in Australia. None of Dannii's albums have been certified gold or higher in Australia, however.Nqr9 (talk) 01:01, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

"Love and Kisses" went Gold edit

According to her autobiography, the single "Love and Kisses" went Gold in Australia. Could someone add this?--Meluvseveryone (talk) 12:45, 24 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

official sources from the ARIA say it didn't. they are the providers so are definitely more reliable than an autobiography. Mister sparky (talk) 14:08, 24 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
the song also reached #4 and spent 15 weeks inside the top 50. there's also a question of logic, and I don't think the ARIA Archives website goes back to 1990.--Meluvseveryone (talk) 13:12, 25 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
and? that's presumptive. just because it reached #4 doesn't mean it should be certified. and the books most definitely go back to 1990. Mister sparky (talk) 18:28, 25 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
What books are you talking about?--Meluvseveryone (talk) 11:35, 27 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
the aria and kent music report books of course. Mister sparky (talk) 17:12, 27 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
ok then, well culd someone check it then?--Meluvseveryone (talk) 03:47, 28 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
I've added a reliable reference for this (single) and 'This It It's gold Australian (ARIA) certifications now. ARIA's records go back to late June 1988, when they commenced production of the chart in-house. Prior to this, they licensed the top 50 portion of the Kent Music Report, from mid 1983. Only the top 100 from January 1990 has been publicly available to date, however.Nqr9 (talk) 01:03, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Dannii Minogue discography edit

The Dannii Minogue discography is currently a Featured list candidate. Please feel free to add comments to help this list reach featured status. – Underneath-it-All (talk) 19:59, 5 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Although it's still currently featured, I don't think it should have been. I've just corrected some serious referencing flaws with Australian chart peak references (previous references listed referred to the wrong, unofficial chart), there was a missing Australian chart peak for 'Coconut', and a fictitious gold award (with no reference provided) for 'Neon Nights' in Australia. There are also several unreferenced sales figures, at least one of which I think is highly dubious (the 35,000 sales claim for 'Neon Nights' in Australia), which I've added citation needed tags to. A reference that doesn't even pertain to the ARIA chart, let alone detail ARIA certifications, was used for Australian certifcations pre-1997, which I've also had to correct. These faults were found from just looking at the Australian chart peaks.Nqr9 (talk) 01:07, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Disruptive editing edit

I have reverted several edits over the past few weeks. These edits were reverted because reliable references were removed, false chart data/certifications were added or whole parts of the article were removed. When adding/changing new data please make sure to add a reliable reference (see WP:CITE). Also, please include a brief summary of what changes you made to article at the bottom of the page. Thank you – Underneath-it-All (talk) 19:56, 8 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

I have also reverted re-addition of UK Dance Charts because they have returned unreliable sources (WP:RS) for such charting information and directly contradict changes that are suggested in the article's FLC. If users have any comments or questions, please feel free to leave a message here.–shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 22:44, 11 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
