Seasonal service? edit

I'm just curious, since I know very little about this airport. Is this mostly a tourist town with seasonal service? According to www.farecompare.com/flights/Dalaman-DLM/city.html, there are currently only two different airlines servicing the airport. The site is pretty accurate at listing most of the airlines going to an airport. If it is mostly seasonal service, it may be wise to mention it.Gittinsj 08:12, 7 February 2007 (UTC)gittinsjReply

Some of the airlines listed on the page do not actually seem to fly to Dalaman, according to their websites. So the article seems pretty inaccurate. - Anon

Indeed - most flights at Dalaman are summer seasonal routes bringing tourists from northern Europe. I will try to annotate the airlines and destinations with the appropriate seasonal tags where I have the right information. SempreVolando (talk) 14:05, 24 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

dalaman airport edit

The airport at Dalaman is ok its clean and always was even before it was changed we preferred the old airport really it was much more people friendly. also the food prices are really really expensive. Thank goodness we have not been delayed for a long time there and have only bought mainly coffee which was bad enough at £6 for two . Thats worse than britain.

The waiting section before boarding the plane is so small and the seats are absolutely horrible wooden slats in rows do not make for comfortable seating for anyone let alone an older person who's bones are perhaps painful. There is no space between the seats at all either sitting with a neigbouring person or opposite its quite silly given all the space that exists outside in the main building where the duty free and shops are. Then this part of the building is quite peculiar it looks like an unfinished warehouse. No seats to sit -on dim lighting-the ceiling shows large steel tubular things which i suppose are air conditioning pipes but surely they could put in a proper ceiling with nice lighting. The concrete pillars are just like something in a warehouse or multi storey car park

The Airport wasn't like this before and the seats were soft in the boarding building plus the whole place was more airy and spacious. Great pity Turkey- when we knew they were modernising the Airport we were really looking forward to seeing it but we were so dissapointed when we went through it and still feel the same after using it now for a while. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.140.69.66 (talk) 22:06, 22 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Airport Article reads Like a commercial edit

That is, other than the 'Public Transport' part I added. I have no doubt airport authored the rest.

Airlines and destinations Section needs updated edit

I believe Airlines and destinations section needs updated, Freebird Airlines needs to be added with destinations from Dalaman to London Stansted and Manchester. If I am incorrect ignore but I do think this should be added. RossDG8 (talk) 17:06, 29 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
