Camila Russo edit

Camila Russo's book about Ethereum titled "The Infinite Machine" contains discussion of MakerDAO. Can someone who owns the book please add citations to it to this article? --RandomWalker (talk) 22:06, 14 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

This article needs some discussion—citing reliable sources—about MakerDAO's stability issues during the COVID-related liquidity crunch in March 2020. --RandomWalker (talk) 22:06, 14 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Title – MakerDAO or Dai (cryptocurrency)? edit

I think it would be better to have this articles content be under the title of Dai (cryptocurrency) rather than MakerDAO. It might be trivial, but I think since the Dai stablecoin is almost certainly more well known/notable than the organization behind, MakerDAO, it would make sense. Plus I think much of this article will end up being about how Dai works and what it's been used for, rather than on MakerDAO itself.

I was just about to create a redirect page for Dai (cryptocurrency) when I figured it'd be better to retitle this article as Dai and then redirect MakerDAO to Dai.

Also, I'm not sure if there's a standard procedure for that kind of change. Maybe someone else can make it happen or I'll get around to figuring that out eventually I guess, unless others object to the idea of course. HiddenLemon // talk 03:08, 15 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Update: It's done. The content of the article should be modified to reflect the change. I ended up making a custom template (Template:Renamed) to add to the top of the article as a notice to avoid confusion. HiddenLemon // talk 08:02, 24 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

What about sources? edit

To my mind and Wiki rules, this article's structure need to be more suitable to the references. Art3m1a1 (talk) 06:01, 13 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Dai vs Sai edit

The article currently misstates that Sai was a previous name of Dai. In actuality, it was always called Dai. When the Maker protocol was upgraded to v2, creating a new Dai v2 token, the v1 token was **renamed** to Sai to avoid confusion with the Dai v2 token. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.175.54.45 (talk) 14:35, 6 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
