Talk:DC Multiverse (toy line)

Consistency edit

It bugs me that the Vehicles section at the very end has Year instead of Release and no Accessories column. Both vehicles came with cards and should be included for full disclosure just like all the McFarlane figures. [User:BAbdulBaki|BAbdulBaki]] (talk) 12:02, 4 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

For the McFarlane toys, up until the Exclusives section, the Release column was always before the Figure column. Afterwards, the two positions were reversed. It would be better to keep the same structure format in case someone wishes to copy and paste it elsewhere. BAbdulBaki (talk) 12:04, 4 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Exclusives edit

If something is part of a wave (e.g., Wave 6) and also is an exclusive (e.g., Target or Walmart), it should be added to both. However, I think the Exclusive section should take precedence unless the back of the box contains exclusive and non-exclusive images alike for all figures in that wave. Henry Cavill photo card edit

Are there two versions of this card, the other being black and white? The background of the card I got was black not blue. BAbdulBaki (talk) 21:47, 21 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Wave 7 Batman edit

In Wave 7, is The Batman set the one with the unmasked version or is it the Bruce Wayne (Drifter) set that comes with both? BAbdulBaki (talk) 00:25, 8 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Superman vs Armored Batman Multipack edit

The following figure (https://mcfarlane.com/toys/superman-vs-armored-batman-multipack/) appears to be missing. The Armored Batman figure may have been previously released independently as seen under Wave 5 (Blue Variant). However, that may be inaccurate since I cannot find a separate box figure for it. Vehicles edit

For the third row (Q3 2021) of Vehicles, the description has it as Batman: White Knight. However, the card says Batman: Curse of the White Knight. Can someone please verify this. BAbdulBaki (talk) 22:08, 19 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

The Batman Movie Figures edit

There appears to be two sets of figures for some of the same characters in Wave 7 (e.g., Batman and the Riddler). The only difference is that the ones from January were 7" long and the newer ones are 12". However, I cannot tell which is which since the accessories appear to be the same. Press Release Quote edit

I think this press release description might be better. Reference link at bottom.

In 2020, McFarlane Toys successfully launched its best-selling DC Multiverse lines with 7-inch to 12-inch ultra-posable action figures, accessories, and vehicles to bring dozens of iconic DC comic books, video games, and feature films' stable characters to life at mass and specialty retailers globally. The DC Multiverse Collection quickly grew as one of the fastest-growing McFarlane Toys lines in its history and continues to experience strong sales performance at retailers globally.

The Batman Who Laughs & Robins of Earth-22 edit

in the Box Set group, "The Batman Who Laughs & Robins of Earth-22" has the Batman row as "Batman of Earth-22". The one that I've seen has it as "The Batman Who Laughs". There is a "Batman of Earth -22 Infected" that was recently presented and is separate from this box set. BAbdulBaki (talk) 16:32, 26 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Different Versions edit

In The Gold Label Collection, both "Batman of Zur-En-Arrh" and "Robin Unmasked" have two version lines in the description for which version this is. This is confusing since it reads as if there are two different versions for each figure, when different versions are separated in different cells. BAbdulBaki (talk) 16:43, 21 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Available Figure edit

In Wave 8 - Q2 2022, should the Batman - DC Rebirth be moved up to Wave 7 - Q1 2022? It's already available. BAbdulBaki (talk) 20:40, 27 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Platinum - Variants edit

First of all, I strongly recommend that this section be renamed from Variant to Limited Edition.

Secondly, are the first two Batman figures true Limited Editions with the McFarlane Platinum Edition sticker? According to McFarlane's blog, the limited editions started in Sep 2020 (end of Q3) with the third and fourth figures listed (change Q2 to Q3?) in that table. If the first two (Batman - Blue) platinum figures weren't limited to 3,000 and did not have the McFarlane Platinum Edition sticker, I would call them Platinum Variants. Maybe this section needs to be split off between variants and limited editions if there is such a difference other than these potential two. The Limited Editions are actually limited to 3,000 figures each, which the Wiki page makes no mention of. My initial understanding was that all of McFarlane's DC Multiverse figures were limited to 3,000, but I guess I was mistaken on that.

Lastly, when using this list as a checklist, it's becoming annoying to see the same figure in multiple locations. In other words, maybe we should remove all platinum figures from the waves and "Collect and Connect" tables since it is redundant, and just add the release dates to the Chase tables. Green Arrow edit

In Wave 7, there's a listing for Green Arrow. However, there is no listing for the unpainted platinum version (artist proof, I think) that is also available. BAbdulBaki (talk) 12:44, 19 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Uniqueness edit

Now that there's a separate section for Variants and Artist Proofs, I've removed all platinum references and Megas from other sections in my personal list since it allows me to have exactly one item for each figure listed. Variants are still listed separately since they're a completely separate figure. BAbdulBaki (talk) 17:38, 2 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Batman Dark Detective (Jokerized) edit

Batman Dark Detective (Jokerized) is already out (April 2023). Should it be changed from Q3 2023 to Q2 2023? BAbdulBaki (talk) 23:45, 27 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

New Format edit

I'm not liking the new format. Too much separation and the menu item on the left now has too many subsections. Plus, I'm seeing some inconsistencies between before and after.

For example, the Collect-to-Build Joker Bot previously had Blight, now it has Peacemaker and Bloodsport and Blight are added in separate rows.

The previous format was more readable, even if you do away with waves. BAbdulBaki (talk) 12:32, 8 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Q3 2022 Standard Figures - Talon edit

The art appears to be drawn by Jorge Lucas based on [1]http://www.comicscontinuum.com/stories/1309/07/batmanrobin2324.jpg from, most likely, Batman and Robin (2011 2nd Series) #23.2. I do not have that comic to confirm it. BAbdulBaki (talk) 11:57, 10 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Big Bad Toy Store Superman Accent Edition edit

The change of the date for the BBTS Superman Accent Edition from Q2 2023 to Q3 2023 is wrong. I had mine delivered on June 20, 2023, while others may have received theirs earlier. That is well before the Q3 cutover of July 1. BAbdulBaki (talk) 01:26, 28 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

The Riddler (The Batman) 12" Statue edit

This figure from Q2 2022 appears to be missing.

Missing Figures edit

Where are the Midnighter and Batman & Spawn figures? Were those cancelled? BAbdulBaki (talk) 12:55, 12 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Midnighter added, Batman and Spawn 2 pack already shows as added, but not the signed version. Ratcoon2 (talk) 18:05, 16 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Mega figures (12" Statue) with digital edit

I may be wrong, but there might be two of these. One with a signed TMF card and one without. BAbdulBaki (talk) 13:22, 17 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Patina vs. Knightmare Editions edit

The last Gold Patina edition is the Knightmare edition (8,100 pcs). It should be added as a new section, I guess. The Patina edition is 6,400 pcs. BAbdulBaki (talk) 16:59, 20 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
