Keep on-topic

Please keep the discussion on this page on-topic. Wikipedia is not the place to lament over or praise the internal policies of a company. This article should only discuss the "public side" of the company (unless some internal event sparked notable news coverage). Any future off-topic comments added here will be removed. --AbsolutDan (talk) 13:18, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

I agree, this article seems to be little more than an advertisement for the company's benefit. Maybe someone who doesn't really have any "interest" in Cognizant could edit the page. --Dia duit 23:52, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

It looks like this is an advertisement of company.

This article has significantly downgraded in the last 8-9 edits. Requesting moderators to bring it back to the original version. To the dissatisfied employees dont vandalise wikipedia —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.180.91.131 (talk) 01:10, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

Not an advert, relevant info only

Removed the advert warning. This article has only relevant info - the services of the company, history, financials and awards have been included. It's balanced - the offshoring issue is tangential but has been retained. Putlake (talk) 23:17, 25 September 2011 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:CTSLogo.GIF

Image:CTSLogo.GIF is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:55, 2 June 2007 (UTC) CTS is not a good company to work for. This is a company meant only for boolickers. Very low on ethics and morale. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.202.192.214 (talk) 17:48, 12 February 2012 (UTC)

COI

One of major contributors to this article has admitted conflict of interest - work in the marketing department of the article's title company: [6]. This has made me add a COI tag. A neutral editor is kindly invited to verify the edits. kashmiri 03:38, 13 January 2013 (UTC)

Galleries

A few dozens pictures have been recently added by editors with a clear conflict of interest. To my opinion, these "galleries" have no informative value whatsoever and only serve promotional purposes, in violation of Wikipedia:Image_use_policy#Image_galleries. Removal strongly suggested. kashmiri 16:16, 17 January 2013 (UTC)

I've removed the gallery, as well as the Culture and parts of the Business model and Corporate affairs sections; this is "PR cruft" much more appropriate for the company website than a Wikipedia article. It reads much less like an advertisement now, but some parts still overly emphasize sources praising the company.--CoJaBo (talk) 15:45, 18 January 2013 (UTC)

Cognizant Technology SolutionsCognizant – Per common name Rangoon11 (talk) 14:44, 13 January 2013 (UTC)

  • Oppose and consider a retarget. I'm not a fan of redirecting common English words to corporation names. Something like Understanding might make a better target. Powers T 23:51, 14 January 2013 (UTC)
  • Support. Cognizant already redirects here, and this is the name that the company is commonly known as and referred to as.[7] Apteva (talk) 23:43, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
