4th ending....was it shown anywhere? edit

I have been meaning to bring this up. According to all sources that I can locate the 4th ending was not released. Why do I remember seeing it? Has anyone else seen it? Is it possible that it was released during the intitila run to a handful of theaters. Seems odd to film something and not use it. Maybe I have a good imagination and just think I remember it. Is that possible. I have a very distinct memory of Wadsworth in the car with the dogs in the backseat. Hmmmmmmm. --Amadscientist (talk) 10:51, 27 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Special feature on the DVD, perhaps? Or maybe shown on TV as part of a special airing? In any case, might be worth investigating further.DC (talk) 20:45, 27 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
I looked at the special features on the DVD I have for Clue, and found just the three endings. In the included trailer there are a few pieces of scenes I've never seen before, so there might be more stuff that hasn't been released yet. I do not remember another ending, though. I've added a quote by the director explaining why the fourth ending was cut. Sadly no details on the plot, but at least he confirms that a fourth was filmed. Ylee (talk) 06:09, 9 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Ending D? edit

Where does this information on Ending D come from? Wadsworth kills the victims, poisons all of the guests and then re-enacts his own murders for the police before escaping in a squad car?

At first glance, it appears to be someone's personal, fan-fiction 4th ending that they felt like editing into the Wikipedia article. I hope this is not the case, but can anyone provide reliable citation as to the source of this fourth, unaired ending? According to multiple editors here this does not appear anywhere in the VHS or in the special features of the DVD. Presumably this information had to come from somewhere, but at present the article makes no other mention of it.

As uncited information, it should be deleted as original research if a reasonable time passes with no citation provided. 71.101.95.236 (talk) 19:05, 15 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

It was a lot clearer before an IP decided to refactor it and remove all of the references. Given your comment I'm going to roll it back to the previous version since that never seemed to create the same confusion, and I see no advantage given that IP's changes. As the fourth ending has been confirmed with a source reference from Jonathan Lynn, and the books themselves exist with identical universal synopsis, attributed to two different authors, based on the same story and screenplay, and as given at various review sites, I have added back the details concerning the 4th ending as a difference between the official novelization and storybook, and the film. This should satisfy all interested parties.--Closettrekker (talk) 18:53, 12 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

True Ending? edit

I was watching Clue the other day, and i noticed mrs white was UPSTAIRS screaming when Yvette was killed. And that mrs peacocks head feather things can be seen briefly behind i think prof plum in the billiard room wen Yvette was screaming. And mr green im confused about, is he actually mr green? or just an agent pretending? O_o PyroDemon150 (talk) 19:25, 16 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Sorry but this is not a forum for discussing the movie itself. The talk page is for discussing specific changes to the article that can be verified. 71.101.95.236 (talk) 08:09, 23 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Excellent and comprehensive source edit

See Also section is irrelevant edit

The See Also section includes some great films that are also murder mysteries, but that seems to be the whole connection they have with Clue. I'm removing it. If it gets added back, it should be edited to explain the relevance per MOS:SEEALSO. Dan Kuck (talk) 20:05, 20 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Professor Plum didn't kill Mr. Boddy in ending C. edit

If you watch carefully, Professor Plum (PP) WAS in the library with the group, while checking Yvette's screams. The only person missing was Mrs. Peacock (MP). MP was in the kitchen killing the cook. Later, when the group was in the kitchen finding the dead cook... the only person missing (initially) was The Butler (TB). After TB arrived, MP and PP were both missing at the end of the kitchen scene. PP could not have killed Mr. Boddy (MB) if MP was with. Therefore, even though PP admitted to killing MB to the group in explanation C, there wasn't opportunity for him to do it. Just saying. 209.243.6.162 (talk) 18:35, 28 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Probably not a slasher edit

User:Jaydentaylor1222, you've added slasher film to this page several times now and each time it was reverted. Maybe you'd like to explain your thinking here so this can be settled. Dan Kuck (talk) 16:44, 27 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Your right but it has slasher elements but not a full on slasher

FYI Entrances to both houses in Rocky Horror and Clue edit

The entrances to both houses in Rocky Horror and Clue are very similar. Note the arched beige translucent windows in both sets of doors. in addition to the wood paneling and stair cases. My question is whether this was done on purpose to evoke the earlier film, or was it mere happenstance. 2.132.13.1 (talk) 19:41, 31 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
