Mural

edit

I have reworded, attempting to repeat my deletion of an editorialised lament for a mural which doesn't exist. The simple deletion of a pointless sentence was reverted by an anonymous user without explanation.

More information is needed to explain what it was, where it was, when or why it was demolished and by whom. Humphrey Tribble (talk) 18:18, 22 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Half-way point at Church
Humphrey Tribble I agree that content should be removed. It was added to a completely unreferenced version of this article all the way back in 2006 [1]. I've previously been involved in a related issue with the Leeds and Liverpool Canal article. It does need more work however, as there is a marker for the half-way point, just it is about a mile down the canal in neighbouring, Church. I've not been able to find any evidence of a mural, and it doesn't appear significant anyway. But it seems Clayton may have at some point been half-way and some modification to the canal has changed that. p4 This article generally could use improvement. I'd help if you are interested?
