Citations edit

THis looks like a good article, but inline citations are sorely needed. ludahai 魯大海 02:39, 29 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Place of birth? edit

The article states near Kishinev in Ukraine, but at that time the area would either have been Bessarabia or Kingdom of Romania depending on precisely where the she was born. Any further information?--Goldsztajn (talk) 12:56, 15 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Follow-up edit

For posterity, let it be noted that this was eventually sorted out following Wikipedia:Reference desk/Archives/Humanities/2017_August_5#Where_was_Clara_Lemlich_born?. -sche (talk) 23:34, 17 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Source of broken ribs edit

The article states that her injuries came from "...gangsters hired by the employers attacked the picketers..." The book The Women's Book of World Records and Achievements states that they came from "a police beating while on the picket line" (p. 291)

Which is correct? --Auric (talk) 20:40, 20 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Changing headline? Plus more references edit

Can the page title be changed from "Clara Lemlich" to "Clara Lemlich Shavelson"?

I'm also writing to share some helpful links on this person: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/08/01/obituaries/overlooked-clara-lemlich-shavelson.html https://jwa.org/encyclopedia/article/shavelson-clara-lemlich

Both of these have great detail. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zokie (talkcontribs) 01:42, 30 August 2020 (UTC) Zokie (talk) 21:38, 30 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
