Regarding the Modern Clan McGrath there is a section at the bottom of the article that deals with this and includes information on how to access further information. The modern Clan is not one organisation but two registered Clan septs based in the ancient sept territories of Ulster and Thomond. Each Clan organisation operates separate structures but cooperate on major projects like the McGrath DNA project. The link between the two septs is explained in the section on Miler McGrath who moved to Tipperary to take the Archbishopric of Cashel and brought 200 armed McGrath's with him. Their names are recorded in a general pardon from King James 1 and is referenced. The Coat of Arms are explained in the article as those recorded on Archbishop Miler's team and adopted by the Clan McGrath septs in Ulster and Thomond as a representation of their heritage, the link again being Miler McGrath who was born in the Ulster territory and who died in the ancient territory of Thomond. Hopefully that clarifies a few points.
