According to the website, its sign and all publicity material, it is the Citizens Theatre rather than the Citizens'. 86.0.203.120 17:06, 10 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Does anyone know what the foyer and facade looked like between the destruction of the original and the current version, which looks to have been constructed in the mid-1990's?86.1.196.156 (talk) 09:57, 21 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

I heard that Stan Laurel performed here before moving to America- has anyone got any info or sources on that? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zagubov (talkcontribs) 15:52, 1 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

I think you're thinking of the Panopticon Music Hall, about a mile to the north.FrFintonStack (talk) 13:00, 22 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

The new foyer complete with two new studio theatres - The Stalls Studio and The Circle Studio - was reopened in 1989 for the Glasgow Garden Festival. The opening production was an adaptation of Charles Dickens 'A Tale of Two Cities'. Previously, the foyer had been much smaller and painted in red, Black and gold. I think the pink elephants had been there for some time before. They came from the Bingo hall next door as did the Nautch girls. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rix2009 (talkcontribs) 01:53, 14 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Left-wing politics edit

The Citizens is well-known as a left-wing/socialist theatre, so a bit surprising that this key fact is absent from the article. Mais oui! (talk) 03:48, 7 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
