renaisance has no rotoscoping, it uses motion capture, entirely diffrent methods. the end characters resemble the actors in movement only, unlike in rotoscoping where original footage is edited in a similar way to photoshoping an image so does convey resemblance to original actors

Characterizing critical reception edit

Renaissance got mixed reviews -- IMDB reviews are in a bell curve around 7, Meta-critic gives a 5.6, and taking any sample from the linked list of media-outlet reviews at http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0386741/externalreviews yields both positive and negative reactions, sometimes in the same review.

The usual style is to characterize a set of reviews like this as 'mixed'. One obvious alternative is to say 'critical reaction was both positive and negative' or something, but that seems an awkward construction compared to 'mixed'. cshirky (talk) 22:51, 1 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
