Removing the drive-by npov tag
editI just happened on this page while looking for information on an awesome version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow and noticed that it contained an npov tag. I also noticed the article was very small and could not immediately discern the alleged impartiality so I naturally went to the talk page to find out. There is no mention of npov on the talk page and in fact no mention of npov anywhere in the history of the talk page so this is obviously a "drive-by" tag. I feel fairly safe in removing it because no reason was posted for including in the first place. If anyone wants to dispute the impartiality of the article, they should read the guidelines for npov tagging where it explains that one should put a section on the talk page explaining why they are disputing the impartiality of the article.
Thank you and thanks for clearing up the mystery of who recorded that awesome version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wdrev (talk • contribs) 18:44, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
In this interview conducted by Ultimate-Guitar.com, he confirms his influences listed on his Wiki page. So, that could be a good reference: http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/interviews/hit_the_lights/chris_impellitteri_shred_expresses_my_internal_rage_and_my_internal_anger.html —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.178.80.66 (talk) 22:25, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
Date of birth
editThe current date of birth, 1975, is not right. If he was born on that date it would mean that he released his first EP when he was 11 or 12 years old and he certainly does not look anywhere near that young in the photos. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.105.72.78 (talk) 14:57, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
According to Chris, he was around 15 when he recorded the first Impellitteri EP. That would give him a birth date of somewhere around 1972 (or perhaps a tad older). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.95.69.221 (talk) 09:29, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
Quality of Article
editThis would be a great article for someone to completely rewrite to remove all the POV. "The Black Ep was the 1st metal record to combine fast tempos, addictive riffs, shredding guitar solos, and screaming vocals that rivaled the likes of legendary bands Iron Maiden and Judas Priest" just doesn't sound, you know, encyclopoedic to me. I'd do it myself but I don't know much about the guy, which is why I'm here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.194.48.42 (talk) 16:51, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
