Any references about the ancient dress ? edit

Hi all! It would be nice to have references about the ancient dress. Especially something stating clearly its usage: everyday dress, or just for the graduation ceremony ? (in case there was something like a graduation ceremony) Thanks! Nicolas1981 (talk) 15:12, 25 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

move? edit

There seems to be a pattern on Wikipedia (however small) that national academic dress pages are called "Academic dress (regalia) in ____." Would it be alright with all concerned if I moved this page to Academic dress in China, or is there some other reason to leave it as is?--dave-- 15:14, 5 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

I think it's probably ok where it is for the moment. The pattern "Academic dress in ___" is very small indeed: currently there only seem to be two pages of that form, which isn't enough on its own to justify a rename. More importantly, I think there's a subtle but important difference between "Chinese academic dress" and "academic dress in China", and we should decide what this article is about before renaming it. -- Nicholas Jackson (talk) 23:09, 5 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
Sounds good!--dave-- 20:21, 8 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
