Weasel Words?
editThis stub has the weasel words tag, but nobody has said what they are. I'm guessing the person is talking about "As was announced in December 2005", but who knows? Can we clarify this or get the tag off? --Lockestep 18:27, 13 February 2006 (UTC)
I'm not sure either. I don't see the Weasel words. The statement is true. I think it is being absorbed by Citibank? I don't know. Maybe someone with knowledge of the deal can expand this article. Thanks. (anonomous reader, 9/28/06)
It should read 'December 2006' (the deal was closed on 18 Dec 2006 after 18 months of negotiation). And no, it's not absorbed by Citi. Citi is a strategic investor in the local bank, holding a 20% stake and it's the same as the other 3 Chinese shareholders. Hope this clarifies ~~reader —Preceding unsigned comment added by Yiwen.chan (talk • contribs) 14:48, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
