This Persons birth was registered as Charles Edward Hastings Clifton. - His parents change of surname by Royal licence to Abney-Hastings was in 1859, and a switch to Rawdon-Hastings if that was associated with the Earldom of Loudoun would not have occurred till his mothers death in 1874
