I was flipping through the list of VG character GA articles yesterday and came across this. This page is of really poor quality and I fail to see how this even made it to GA status. There's plenty of issues with it that make it fail the criteria, which I've listed below:

• Absolutely nothing in the reception actually talks about why the Chao characters are good/bad, they simply talk about the minigames/gameplay mechanics that they are part of. Reception areas in video game character articles (especially those at GA) need to have info on what critics liked or disliked about the characters themselves. All of these just talk about the mechanics that they're used in, not the characters themselves.
• The sources are abysmal in quality. Most of them are primary or are simply quotes from other Sonic the Hedgehog games, so much so that it lead to the page getting a notability tag on it that's lasted for like three months at this point.
• The image of the Chao Drive serves really no purpose and adds nothing to the article.\
• Lots of things that are unsourced.
• Really poor writing all throughout the page, an example being "states that Chao are cute, and enjoy toys and being held or petted."

As such, I vote to delist it. I also suggest that this be merged into List of Sonic the Hedgehog characters instead since this page likely fails WP:NOTABILITY anyway. Namcokid47 ^(Contribs) 14:49, 6 October 2019 (UTC)

• Delist primarily on sourcing. I made a similar point five years ago. Also want to reiterate that a GAR is not a necessary prerequisite for a merge or re-scope discussion. (not watching, please {{ping}} if needed) czar 17:55, 6 October 2019 (UTC)
  • Reading through that list, I'm honestly baffled by the amount of opposes for a merge. Lots of them seemed to directly point their argument towards the passing mention of them in a review for Pokemon Channel....Namcokid47 ^(Contribs) 18:02, 6 October 2019 (UTC)
