Proposed merger edit
The set index Chandrashekar has just been created. This is an alternate spelling of Chandrasekhar. Some names are on both pages, some on only one or the other. Redirects may or may not exist between the spelling variations. I don't know for sure that a merge would be appropriate, but it looks like it would be much more convenient for readers if everything was in one place regardless of the language niceties. - I believe so, as the etymology of Chandrashekhar is given as candra + śekhara. "Chandrasekhar" has more than twice as many Ghits so I will merge to that spelling. – Fayenatic London 13:32, 4 December 2019 (UTC)

- The reason behind move request is that in Wikipedia there are more articles with the name "Chandrashekhar" or "Chandra Shekhar" than the "Chandrasekhar" or "Chandra Sekhar". Thus "Chandrashekhar" is more common spelling of the name. The page "Chandrasekhar" should be merged into "Chandrashekhar" and not vice versa. Hemant DabralTalk 13:21, 31 January 2020 (UTC)
- The top two variants seem to be pretty close in popularity. Chandrasekhar is the most popular permutation on both Google and Wikipedia.

The most famous edit
Outside of India, Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar is the most well known, but it's not that easy to find his name on the list unless you remember "Subrahmanyan" and its spelling (in which case you wouldn't have come to the disambiguation page in the first place)...
